New Delhi: Actor Sunny Deol and Ameesha Patel’s Gadar: Ek Prem Katha completes 15 years of release today. Directed by Anil Sharma, the movie which released in 2011 went on to become one of the biggest blockbusters of Bollywood and is even today remembered for its storyline and powerful performances.

Set against the backdrop of India and Pakistan partition, Gadar was the love story of a truck driver Tara Singh (Sunny) who fell in love with an aristocrat Muslim girl Sakina (Ameesha). Divided by borders and religion, Tara fights the entire world to reunite with Sakina.
