From Veere Di Wedding, Race 3 to Sanju; Top Bollywood films releasing in June
Veere Di Wedding, Race 3, Sanju, Bhavesh Joshi Superhero and many other films will be hitting the screen in the coming month.
The year 2017 was not so lucky for the Hindi film industry as series of films featuring Bollywood bigwigs like Shah Rukh Khan (Jab Harry Met Sejal), Salman Khan (Tubelight) and others failed to win hearts of fans and leave a long-lasting impression on them. On the contrary, year 2018 started on a good note with series of content-based, historical saga, comedy and romantic-drama flicks including Padmaavat, PadMan, October, Hichki, Raazi, Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety, 102 Not Out and others.
And now some highly anticipated movies such as John Abraham’s Parmanu, Kareena Kapoor Khan and Sonam Kapoor starrer Veere Di Wedding, Salman Khan’s Race 3, Ranbir Kapoor starrer biopic on Sanjay Dutt titled Sanju, Harshvardhan Kapoor’s Bhavesh Joshi Superhero and many other films will be hitting the screen in coming months.
Parmanu: The Story of Pokhran- May 25:
After Force 2, John Abraham will be seen in Abhishek Sharma’s directorial venture Parmanu: The Story of Pokhran which will release on May 25. Also featuring Diana Penty and Boman Irani, Parmanu: The Story of Pokhran is based on a true event. John’s film is based on the nuclear bomb test explosions in 1998 conducted by the Indian Army at Pokhran. The film has been in news ever since it’s inception. Recently, KriArj and JA Productions landed in legal trouble due to the payments failure by the former.
Veere Di Wedding- June 1
Shashanka Ghosh directorial venture produced by Rhea Kapoor, Ekta Kapoor and others, Veerey Di Wedding is making noise ever since it’s announcement. Featuring Kareena Kapoor Khan, Sonam Kapoor, Swara Bhaskar, Shikha Talsania and Sumeet Vyas, Veere Di Wedding is a high spirited and upbeat modern-day story highlighting tale of four childhood friends. The leading ladies of Veere Di Wedding are currently on a promotional spree for their film.
Bhavesh Joshi Superhero- June 1
Sonam Kapoor’s brother Harshvardhan Kapoor is gearing up for his second Bollywood outing with Vikramaditya Motwane’s directorial venture Bhavesh Joshi Superhero. The film promises to present a new superhero for the common man. Harshvardhan will essay a masked activist in Bhavesh Joshi Superhero. It is a story of group of friends who prefer to walk on the path of righteousness.
Talking about his film Vikramaditya said, “I’ve felt strongly about this movie for the last four years. Our story looks at what triggered a boy’s personal crusade against the system. In Harshvardhan, I found an actor having no baggage — raw and real — someone who could easily take up the challenge of being a common man as well as a masked superhero. He exhibits all the vulnerabilities of a common man — his anger, frustration and quest for change.”
Race 3- June 15
Remo D’ Souza’s multi-starrer Race 3 featuring Salman Khan, Anil Kapoor, Bobby Deol, Jacqueline Fernandez, Daisy Shah, Saqib Saleem and others is still in its shooting stage. The film has been shot in the beautiful locales of Kashmir, Leh and Ladakh and and few other places. Salman was recently turning heads due to series of viral videos from the film sets along with the cast and crew. Interestingly, Salman has also penned down a track titled Selfish for his film Race 3.
Sanju- June 29
Rajkumar Hirani’s film Sanju, which is a biopic on Sanjay Dutt is the most awaited films of the year. The teaser of the film was released few weeks back and the trailer of the film is scheduled to release on May 30, 2018. Ranbir Kapoor starrer biopic will showcase several life incidents of Sanjay Dutt. The multi-starrer film showcases several ups and downs of Dutt’s life. The protagonist Ranbir was showered with much praise for his amazing transformation for Sanju. The film also features Sonam Kapoor, Paresh Rawal, Manisha Koirala, Dia Mirza, Vicky Kaushal amongst others.
