If you’ve been feeling lately that almost every second Bollywood film that release has an old song in the remake form, thanks Tanishk Bagchi. The young musician has brought the remake and remix era of Bollywood into existence. While some might not be happy with tampering of the classics, but we must admit that his remakes surely make for the best party anthems. Like 2017, which started with Badrinath Ki Dulhani’s Tamma Tamma, 2018 was jam-packed with Bollywood remixes. Some of them were hits while others made controversies (Chalte Chalte from Mitron). As the year is reaching its end, let’s talk about how Tanishk Bagchi was crowned as the King of Remixes of Bollywood.

Dilbar (Satyameva Jayate)

The old version of Dilbar was as peppy as the remix one. It had former Miss Universe Sushmita Sen flaunting her belly moves. However, the revamped version had Nora Fatehi shaking her legs, which made her an overnight star. Soon after Dilbar, Nora featured in another hit song Kamariya for Stree.

Original Song from Sirf Tum

Gali Gali Mein Phirta Hai (KGF)

The original song Gazar Ne Kiya Hai Ishara was remade not once but twice. The first remake was seen in Azhar starring Emraan Hashmi and Nargis Fakhri. The latest version which has been composed by Tanishk Bagchi has actress Mouni Roy shaking her legs.

Original Song from Tridev

Aankh Mare (Simmba)

This song has hands down dominated the charts ever since it’s been released. Featuring Ranveer Singh and the cutesy Sara Ali Khan, Aankh Mare has become a customary song at the parties.

Original Song from Tere Mere Sapne

Tere Bin (Simmba)

Tere Bin from Simmba, which depicts the romantic bond shared by Ranveer Singh and Sara Ali Khan in the film, has been adapted from film Kachche Dhaage. The original song had Manisha Koirala and Ajay Devgn in the video. This new version is being received moderately by the audience, if not an instant hit.

Chamma Chamma (Fraud Saiyyan)

We cannot say that we’re entirely happy with this remake. The most talented dancer Urmila Matondkar left no room for improvement in the original version, she was that good. Elli Avram tried her best in making this remade version of Chamma Chamma a hit like original, however, that doesn’t seem to be happening soon.
