Karan Johar's Dhadak, which is an official remake of the Marathi blockbuster Sairat, released on July 20. It marks the debut of late Sridevi's eldest daughter, Janhvi Kapoor and also features Shahid Kapoor's half-brother Ishaan Khatter. The film, which collected more than Rs 8 crore on its opening day, witnessed a significant growth on day 2. Film trade analyst Taran Adarsh has tweeted the film’s second day business figures, which amounts to Rs 11.04 crore, taking the total Dhadak box office collection to Rs 19.75 crore.

India biz”, Taran Adarsh wrote while announcing Dhadak Box Office Collection Day 2.
Trade analysts are expecting big things from Dhadak. Despite no big names associated with the film except Karan Johar, experts expect the Sairaat-remake to bring in around Rs 20 crore by the end of this week.
Directed by Shashank Khaitan of Humpty Sharma ki Dulhania and Badrinath ki Dulhania fame, Dhadak also stars Ashutosh Rana. Based on Nagraj Manjule's Sairat, Dhadak revolves around two star-crossed lovers belonging to different castes and how their tragic story unfolds.
