Deepika Padukone, who made her Bollywood debut opposite Shah Rukh Khan in the blockbuster hit, Om Shanti Om seems to be in no mood to work with the actor again. Literally! You heard it right Deepika has reportedly rejected a film opposite Shah Rukh.

If reports are to believed, the Padmavati actress was offered a role against Shah Rukh Khan in Anand L Rai’s next project, but Deepika refused to share screen space with him.

Interestingly, both Shah Rukh and Deepika had earlier given series of hit films like Chennai express and Happy New Year.

The online chemistry of Piku actress Deepika and Shah Rukh was loved immensely by fans and they would surely love to see the actors together again.

However, Deepika has not rejected to work opposite Shah Rukh due to any rift between them but the actress had a genuine reason for it.

Currently, Deepika is busy shooting for Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s next project Padmavati opposite Ranveer Singh. As the shooting schedule of Shah Rukh’s film clashed with Ranveer’s film Padmavati, Deepika was bound to drop SRK’s project.

A report published in the Mumbai Mirror stated, “While Deepika was quite keen on doing the film, unfortunately, her dates were clashing with those allotted to Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Padmavati. Since she has already committed her dates to SLB’s historical, she had to say no to Aanand L Rai.’’

Earlier, rumours were also making rounds that Katrina Kaif was roped in for the same project but later Deepika was chosen for it.

Now it’s interesting to see who will be portraying the lead character in Anand’s much talked about film.
