The much-anticipated film ‘Dear Zindagi’ starring Shah Rukh Khan and Alia Bhatt, released last Friday, managed to fetch Rs 32.50 crore in its opening weekend in India.
Whereas, the overseas market collection of the film is also quite impressive. The weekend collection of the film, oversees was Rs 27.45 crore.
The film was released on November 25 and earned 8.75 crore on its opening day. As expected, it showed tremendous development on weekends with Rs 11.25 crore collection on Saturday and Rs 12.50 crore on Sunday. That made its opening weekend collection 32.50 cr.
Unlike Shah Rukh’s previous films, this one was released in small scale and got 1200 screens in India. Thus, the film has minted quite impressive sum. ‘Dear Zindagi’ also managed to mesmerize international audience as it earned Rs 5.40 crore till Friday in UAE and GCC.
Trade analyst Taran Adarsh shared the numbers on Twitter.
In the coming time, the film can earn more money owing to the strong word-of –mouth and adorable chemistry between SRK and Alia.
Ever since its release, the film had been receiving positive reviews from the audience. Helmed by Gauri Shinde, ‘Dear Zindagi’ featured Alia as cinematographer and SRK played the role of her life coach. The flick also had Kunal Kapoor, Angad Bedi and Ali Zafar in prominent roles.
