Filmmaker Milan Luthria has been roped in to direct the debut film of actor Suniel Shetty's son Ahan. A tweet from the official account of Nadiadwala Grandson welcoming Luthria read: "A great journey is about to begin! Another step for Ahan Shetty's debut, welcoming the new member Milan Luthria to the NGE Family."
Luthria is known for directing films like "The Dirty Picture", "Once Upon a Time in Mumbaai", "Kachche Dhaage", and "Baadshaho".
Trade analyst Taran Adarsh said, "IT'S OFFICIAL... Sajid Nadiadwala ropes in director Milan Luthria for Ahan Shetty’s debut... An official remake of #Telugu hit #RX100".
Ahan will make his debut with the remake of Telugu hit "RX 100", which will release in 2019. It is being bankrolled by Sajid Nadiadwala.
The Telugu version of "RX 100", a drama film, stars Kartikeya Gummakonda and Payal Rajput in the lead.
Other details about the film are still under wraps.
The filmmaker has been the launch pad of other newcomers in Bollywood as well- Tiger Shroff, Kriti Sanon and others. Sajid further divulged details of the film saying, "We are in talks with some directors, but have not decided on one yet." Well, now that the leading actor is final, it would be interesting to know who would star opposite Ahan in the first film. Will it be a newcomer as well? Or an already established heroine?
On the work front, the producer is currently gearing up for 'Housefull 4' with Akshay Kumar and Kriti Sanon, and Nitesh Tiwari's next directorial and 'Baaghi 3'.
