Actor Ranveer Singh, who is gearing up for the release of his upcoming film Padmavati, will not feature in the sequel of actor Akshay Kumar starrer Singh is Kinng. The actor’s spokesperson has confirmed the news. Speculations were rife from quite some time that Ranveer will replace Akshay in the sequel of the film.
Producer of the film, Shailendra Singh had earlier revealed to a leading tabloid that just like Ajay and Akshay, Ranveer has all qualities of playing a Sardar. He added that the actor has shown interest in the project.
Ranveer’s spokesperson has refused developments and stated that apart from Zoya Akhtar’s Gully Boys, Kabir Khan’s 83 and Rohit Shetty’s next, the actor is not doing any other project. He added that an official announcement will be made if the actor signs any new project.
On the work front, Ranveer will be seen sharing the screen space with Deepika Padukone and Shahid Kapoor. He plays the role of an antagonist in the film. Directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Padmavati is all set to hit the screens on December 1.
