Actor Pankaj Tripathi, who is basking in the glory of his last release Newton that became India’s official entry to Oscars 2018, has another reason to celebrate. The actor has won the Best Actor Award for his film Mango Dreams at the Cape Town International Film Festival. Pankaj played the role of Salim in the film.
Pankaj is a renowned Bollywood actor, who has worked in many films. Lately, he was seen playing a pivotal role in Ayushmann Khurrana, Kriti Sanon and Rajkummar Rao starrer Bareilly Ki Barfi. It goes without saying that in this era when people are busy doing commercial films, the actor is choosing some content driven movies.
The Cape Town International Film Market & Festival was hosted by Pearl Thusi and Maps Maponyana. Many films and actors were honoured at the event for their contribution.
On a relate note, Pankaj was seen playing the role of Aatma Singh in Rajkummar starrer Newton. The film received great response from the audiences.
