Dharma Productions on Monday dropped a teaser video announcing something special from Brahmastra will be releasing this evening. This Ayan Mukerji's ambitious fantasy film, also starring Amitabh Bachchan in a lead role, has long been in the works and is slated to release later this year. The film's cast was represented by Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt and Nagarjuna at a mega event in Prayagraj's Kumbh Mela tonight. The Brahmastra cast have unveilied the logo of the trilogy at the event. The film is all set to hit the screens this year on December 25.
Earlier in the day, Alia Bhatt took to Instagram to share the update. "Hi guys, we are on the plane and we are on our way to Kumbh 2019," she said in an Instagram story.
At one point in the video, Alia asked "why do you think we are going to Kumbh Mela?" and Ranbir joked "to leave you there".
On a serious note, the actress said: "It is a special day and it is a supremely special plan from the team of 'Brahmastra'. We are excited about it." Teasing Ranbir, Alia said: "Give a nice smile with a dimple."

First glimpse of Brahmastra out
Ahead of Brahmastra logo launch, Ayan has decided to make a debut on Instagram and share the first glimpse from the movie. The filmmaker’s first post is about Brahmastra. The filmmaker shared a picture of what looks like Alia and Ranbir from the movie with the whole “Brahmastra” behind the two. The beautiful artwork has left us spellbound. Ayan shared the picture with the caption: “Part 1: Love #brahmastra (P.S.: going to take some getting used to this new Instagram life).”
