September has almost come to an end and, Bollywood box office report for the month stands at a mixed position. With more than half a dozen releases, the cash registers did see some action. Rajkummar Rao and Shraddha Kapoor starrer Stree is one of the most successful films of 2018 as the movie has been raking in the moolah till now. Meanwhile, Shahid Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor’s Batti Gul Meter Chalu is failing to impress at the box-office.
Stree Box Office Collection
Stree is running at a very few screens today but is seeing the best occupancy amongst all other films in the running. The film has sustained quite well despite competition and has emerged as a solid Blockbuster.
Trade analyst Taran Adarsh wrote, “#Stree shows SOLID TRENDING on weekdays... Eyeing ₹ 125 cr+ *lifetime biz*, depending on how new releases affect its prospects tomorrow... [Week 4] Fri 1.51 cr, Sat 2.05 cr, Sun 2.86 cr, Mon 97 lakhs, Tue 87 lakhs, Wed 87 lakhs. Total: ₹ 121.80 cr. India biz”.
Batti Gul Meter Chalu Box Office Collection
Batti Gul Meter Chalu is collecting low numbers at the Box Office and would ultimately emerge as a two-week runner. The numbers are in fact following the same trajectory as Shahid Kapoor’s Phata Poster Nikhla Hero, though back in 2013 these were at least fair numbers. The later had collected a lifetime of 37.85 crore and it seems like the case for Batti Gul Meter Chalu as well.
“#BattiGulMeterChalu remains on the lower side... Fri 6.76 cr, Sat 7.96 cr, Sun 8.54 cr, Mon 3.16 cr, Tue 2.91 cr, Wed 2.65 cr. Total: ₹ 31.98 cr. India biz. #BGMC", Taran Adarsh announced.
