Bigg Boss 9 contestant Mandana Karimi files domestic violence case against husband Gaurav Gupta
Former Bigg Boss contestant Mandana Karimi has filed a domestic violence case against her husband Gaurav Gupta.
Ex-Bigg Boss contestant Mandana Karimi, who tied the knot with Gaurav Gupta, earlier this year, has filed a domestic violence case against him. She has also made harassment charges against her mother-in-law. The actress stated in her application that she came to India in 2012 as she wanted to make her career in acting and modelling. She was introduced to Gaurav by a common friend and both of them got engaged in 2016 and later, got hitched in January 2017. Mandana added that she was asked to quit her acting career after marriage.
According to a report by a leading daily, Mandana was constantly insulted and was not allowed to meet her friends. She was even thrown out of her house. The actress tried hard to reconconcile but nothing worked out.
Mandana's lawyer Madhukar Dalvi has reported that the matter is in court and they will take it forward as per law. The actress has sought a compensation of Rs. 2 crores and a monthly maintenance of Rs 10 lakh. The hearing will take place on July 15. Gaurav’s reaction on the whole issue is yet to come.
After Mandana announced the news of her marriage on social media, she had a grand ceremony in which many celebrities were invited. Along with participating in Bigg Boss, she has worked in many movies.
