TV actress Alka Kaushal and her mother sentenced to two years of imprisonment

TV actress Alka Kaushal, who has has played mother to popular B-town actresses Kareena Kapoor Khan and Kangana Ranaut, has been sentenced to two years of imprisonment following a case of bounced cheque.

Telly actress Alka Kaushal, who played the mother of actress Kareena Kapoor Khan in Salman Khan starrer Bajrangi Bhaijaan, has been sentenced to two years of imprisonment by a District Court in Punjab following a case of bounced cheque. The actress and her mother was accused of not returning nearly Rs 50 lakh to an acquaintance. Alka, sister of telly actor Varun Badola, has played pivotal roles in many popular TV shows Qubool Hai, Swaragini.

If reports are to be believed, Advocate Sukhbir Singh stated that Alka and her mother borrowed 50 Lakhs from an acquaintance named Avtar Singh for serial-making. When Avtar asked for his money, he was given two cheques of 25 Lakhs each, which got bounced. After this happened, Avtar filed a case in Malerkotla court against Alka and her mother.

 

This sentence came in 2015, which was challenged by the actress. She moved to Sangrur court for relief. But, now unfortunately, the additional sessions judge of the court has upheld the decision of the Malerkotla court.

Daughter of theatre actor Vishwa Mohan Badola, Alka is the popular face of small screen. She also played the mother of Kangana Ranaut in Queen. Now, it is yet to been seen how the actress deals with the trouble.
