With lot of excitement and expectations, Varun Dhawan and Alia Bhatt’s latest release, “Badrinath Ki Dulhania” hit the cinemas yesterday on more than 3000 screens across the nation. Varun-Alia’s Desi romance has received overwhelming response from fans and, hence BKD’s got off to a really good start.
According to the latest report, the film registered around 60% occupancy in the earlier shows, Badrinath Ki Dulhania and collected around Rs 13-14 crore at the box office on its opening day.
The highlight is that “Badrinath Ki Dulhania” has beaten the opening day collection of its first instalment “Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania”, which had collected a decent 9 crores in 2014. Interestingly, “Student of The Year “also had an opening of 9 crores.
Trade analyst Taran Adarsh also took to Twitter and shared BKD’s opening performance.
“#BadrinathKiDulhania starts very well. If it maintains the same pace - or gets better in evening - expect a SOLID Day 1”, he tweeted.
With a solid start, Badrinath Ki Dulhania has all the chances to achieve the double digit opening at the box office. A positive word mouth will boost its box office collections.
Because of it’s fresh story line and strong message on feminism, Shashank Khaitan’s directorial film has impressed all the viewers and also received positive reviews from all the critics.
As always Varun and Alia have performed wonderfully and showed a beautiful chemistry between each other. Because of their heart winning performances, both are being praised by everyone.
As per critics, it is a delightful family entertainer which has all the ingredients to be a winner on box office.
