Actors Varun Dhawan and Alia Bhatt starrer ‘Badrinath Ki Dulhania’ has minted Rs 96.39 crore till now and is all set to enter the coveted Rs 100 crore club in coming days. The movie is the sequel of ‘Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania’ and is receiving good response from the audience.
The film did an impressive business of Rs 62.28 crore on its first weekend. In the second weekend, ‘Badrinath Ki Dulhania’ dominated new releases ‘Trapped’ and ‘Beauty and the Beast’ and collected Rs 17.56 crore. The film has so far collected Rs 96.39 crore.
Trade Analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted, “#BadrinathKiDulhania is ROCKSTEADY... [Week 2] Fri 4.21 cr, Sat 5.90 cr, Sun 7.45 cr, Mon 2.72 cr, Tue 2.45 cr. Total: ₹ 96.39 cr. India biz.”
Going with the same pace the film will enter the coveted 100 cr club before Friday.
Earlier, Alia’s ‘2 States’ and Varun’s ‘ABCD 2’ and ‘Dilwale’, entered the 100-crore club. ‘Badrinath Ki Dulhania’ is Varun’s eighth consecutive successful film.
‘Badrinath Ki Dulhania’ tells the story of Badri who tries different methods to make Vaidehi his Dulhania. Audience is liking the cute chemistry between Alia and Varun and the wonderful music of the film.
This week, Alia and Varun starrer will face competition from Anushka Sharma and Diljit Dosanjh’s ‘Phillauri’.
