Ayushmann Khurrana and Sanya Malhotra starrer Badhaai Ho is not ready to slow down even when new movies have hit the theatres. The comedy-drama has managed to impress critics and audience alike and strong word of mouth is making sure that the film continues its winning streak. After a fabulous opening day, Badhaai Ho has managed to earn Rs 84.25 crores after second weekend. As per the reports in Box Office India, the film is expected to cross the 100 crore mark this weekend, however, will not do wonders after that.
Taran Adarsh revealed the latest numbers and wrote, "#BadhaaiHo continues to soar high... Witnesses substantial growth on second Sat and Sun... [Week 2] Fri 3.40 cr, Sat 6.60 cr, Sun 8.15 cr. Bollywood critic and trade analyst Taran Adarsh also revealed that its pouring number for Badhaai Ho in the international markets as well. He shared the latest numbers on his social media and wrote, “#BadhaaiHo is a MASSIVE HIT in Australia... Eighth *Indian film* to cross A$ 500,000 mark in 2018... Undoubtedly, with Andhadhun first and now Badhaai Ho, Ayushmann Khurrana has become the actor of the season. He has not just impressed the audience with the versatility in his acting skills but has shown how small budget movies can also do wonders on the box office if the content is right. Ayushmann is overwhelmed by the positive response of his film. Talking about his successful career, Ayushmann said, ‘’I think I have been lucky enough in my journey to have got the right films and I'm thankful to all my filmmakers for believing in me."
Badhaai Ho is a hilarious yet realistic tale of a young man Nakul whose mother gets pregnant in her fifties. Instead of aborting the unplanned pregnancy, she decides to keep the baby. Embarrassed son starts keeping distance from his parents only to reunite with them later. Badhaai Ho was directed by Amit Sharma, who faced a similar situation in his own family.
