Flavour of the season, Bollywood actor Ayushmann Khurrana, is living his dream these days. After a smashing run on the box office with his two movies Andha Dhun and Badhaai Ho, the actor is all geared up to keep the number pouring it with his next films as well. Dealing with the topic of late pregnancy in the most comical yet sensible way, Badhaai Ho has managed to woo the viewers and critics alike. The film is slowly inching closer to the glorious 100 crore mark and has already earned Rs 91.70 crores till date.
Sharing the latest box office numbers of Ayushmann Khurrana and Sanya Malhotra starrer Badhaai Ho, Bollywood critic and trade analyst Taran Adarsh wrote, “#BadhaaiHo nears ₹ 100 cr mark... Will cross the magical figure in Week 3... [Week 2] Fri 3.40 cr, Sat 6.60 cr, Sun 8.15 cr, Mon 2.60 cr, Tue 2.50 cr, Wed 2.35 cr. Total: ₹ 91.70 cr. India biz.” Not just the Indian market, but the film is doing wonders in the International arena as well.
Undoubtedly, with Andhadhun first and now Badhaai Ho, Ayushmann Khurrana has become the actor in demand. He has not just impressed the audience with the versatility in his acting skills but has shown how small budget movies can also do wonders on the box office if the content is right. Ayushmann is overwhelmed by the positive response of his film. Talking about his successful career, Ayushmann said, ‘’I think I have been lucky enough in my journey to have got the right films and I'm thankful to all my filmmakers for believing in me."
Badhaai Ho is a hilarious yet realistic tale of a young man Nakul whose mother gets pregnant in her fifties. Instead of aborting the unplanned pregnancy, she decides to keep the baby. Embarrassed son starts keeping distance from his parents only to reunite with them later. Badhaai Ho was directed by Amit Sharma, who faced a similar situation in his own family.
