Actor Rana Dagubbati, who played the role of the menacing Bhallaladeva in SS Rajamouli’s ‘Baahubali’, is prepping up for the sequel which will be released in the next year. Earlier today, Rana shared a picture on micro blogging website Twitter in which he was seen in a beefed up avatar.
Silver screen’s Bhallaladeva quoted the picture as ‘#BiggerMeanerStronger for @BaahubaliMovie’. (sic)

In the first instalment of the magnum opus series, Rana Daggubatti was seen fighting with a bull. His muscle power on the silver screen made his role of a heartless ruler quite convincing.
But seems this time he is taking it to next level. Reports in media suggest that to perfect the role, Rana has been sweating it out at the gym for the past five months. He also lost a few kilos for the second instalment, since he will play a younger Bhallaladeva in it.
In ‘Baahubali: The Beginning’ it was not shown why Bhallaladeva became a ruthless ruler, and handed fierce punishments to his subjects. The sequel is said to cover this, hence the actors have to play younger versions of their characters.
Not only Rana, all the actors associated with the movie are it seems leaving no stone unturned for the highly anticipated sequel. Actress Tamannah Bhatia who plays tribal girl Avantika learnt horse riding, and actor Parbhas who essays the titular role underwent rigorous training for few action sequences.
The sequel will hit theatres on April 28, 2017. The movie also stars Anushka Shetty and Satyaraj.
