You know it has to be unique when Ayushmann Khurrana is there. Soon after he announced his next project Dream Girl, news of him reuniting with Bhumi Pednekar has made the headlines. Ayushmann and Bhumi will be hitting their hat-trick this time with Bala. The movie directed by Stree fame Amar Kaushik and producer Dinesh Vijan will have the actor playing a prematurely balding guy, whereas, Bhumi will be seen as a dusky small-town girl.
Excited much? Earlier, the duo has worked together in Dum Laga Ke Haisha and Shubh Mangal Saavdhan. Both the movies performed exceptionally well at the box office and got rave reviews from critics as well. Shooting of the movie will begin from March 2019 and it will possibly release in September same year.
Talking about the project, producer Dinesh Vijan told Mumbai Mirror: ''It’s a hilarious story but at the same time, it makes you think. The two characters are very interesting and easy to relate with, so is their small-town milieu. Through their journey, the film impresses on the fact that most of us are usually attracted to outward beauty and don’t go beyond that to understand the real person. That’s one of the reasons so many relationships are falling apart today!”.
The producer also said that Ayushmann was his first choice given his comic timing and film choices. Also, prosthetic will be partly used for Ayushmann's character. Director Amar Kaushik believes Bala will be a fun and relatable film for the audience.
Meanwhile, Ayushmann shared the first look of Dream Girl in which he can be seen on a bike wearing a yellow saree with grey and golden border. Sporting sari over a white t-shirt, Ayushmann is stunned (we don't know why). He is also wearing slippers along with bangles. Check out the poster below:
