Athiya Shetty has refuted the reports of doing Bosco Martis’ directorial debut ‘Circus’.
The actress has claimed that she hasn’t signed any such movie. In fact Shetty stated that she was never approached for ‘Circus’, which has Sooraj Pancholi in the lead.
Apparently, there had been reports that Athiya will also been sharing the screen space with her father for the first time in ‘Circus’. But all these turned out to be mere rumours.
Interestingly, Sooraj and Athiya had made their debut together with 2015 release ‘Hero’. However, despite several efforts, the movie failed to leave a mark on the box office.
Currently, Athiya is busy preparing for her upcoming movie ‘Mubarakan’ in which she will be seen opposite Arjun Kapoor.
The newcomer actress confessed that she is thrilled to work with Arjun and is keen to start the shooting.
“It's a really funny, crazy and mad wedding that everybody is invited to. While hearing the script I genuinely wanted to be a part of it because I wanted to see it as an audience," Athiya said.
Shetty will be seen playing the role of a simple Punjabi girl in the movie.
“My character has a side to her that adds chaos to the drama”, she added.
Directed by Anees Bazmee, ‘Mubarakan’ also features veteran actor Anil Kapoor and is scheduled to release on July 28, 2017.
