Anurag Kashyap’s much-anticipated project Manmarziyan is now releasing on a new date. The multi-starrer film which has Abhishek Bachchan, Taapsee Pannu and Vicky Kaushal in lead roles will now be releasing on 14th September, which is a week before its previous release date. Film critic and trade analyst, Taran Adarsh, confirmed the news on Twitter, writing, "#Manmarziyaan gets a new release date... Was slated for release on 21 Sept 2018... Will now release one week earlier: 14 Sept 2018... Stars Abhishek Bachchan, Taapsee Pannu and Vicky Kaushal... Directed by Anurag Kashyap... Eros International and Aanand L Rai presentation."
Apart from Bachchan, the movie stars Taapsee Pannu and 'Sanju' fame Vicky Kaushal in pivotal roles. Manmarziyan will see Bachchan return to the big screen after a gap of two years as he was last seen in the 2016 rom-com 'Housefull 3'. In the film, Abhishek will be romancing Taapsee Pannu for the first time. The shooting has taken place in Delhi, Punjab and a snowfall sequence between Abhishek and Taapsee will be shot in Kashmir. The film will also mark Taapsee's first project with Kashyap.

The project Manmarziyan has been in talks for a long time. The initial cast included Ayushmann Khurrana and Bhumi Pednekar. It was being helmed by Sameer Aya. Later, Ashwini Iyer Tiwari was about to direct the film. After her exit, Anurag Kashyap took the reins in his hands.
