After MNS slammed filmmaker Karan Johar over his movie ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’, director Anurag Kashyap has come out in his support.
Kashyap has questioned the demand to ban Pakistani actors wondering if how it will help curb terrorism.
MNS had threatened KJo to ban ADHM as it featured Fawad Khan. In fact, the political party had also targeted superstar Shah Rukh Khan for his upcoming movie ‘Raees’ which will have Pakistani actress Mahira Khan.
The demand of ban had come in wake of Uri attack which had killed 18 Indian soldiers
Anurag poked the protestors saying that they can send back Fawad Khan if they want, but before that he wants to know the "next five steps" which will be taken if the Pakistani actors are banned from Bollywood.
"What problems will be solved after sending him? What will be your next step after sending him. At least tell us what are your next five steps”, Kashyap said.
He is not the first one who had been vocal about this issue.
Earlier KJo too had stated that showbiz should be left unfazed by the Indo-Pak hostility. He also urged the haters not to make artists a soft target.
Varun Dhawan too took a smart way of dealing with this issue and said that he is in full support of whatever decision the Government of India takes. However, he did mention that the government should be sure enough about what they are doing.
