Sonakshi Sinha’s recent release ‘Akira’ is doing good at the box office, and Anurag Kashyap has behind the success of the movie.
Anurag, who plays a negative role in the movie, feels that the movie is being appreciated because of the punch lines in it.
"The punch lines are so strong in the film and I feel because of that people are appreciating it. I believe more than me, it's the director and Sonakshi (Sinha) who has taken a huge risk with this film and I really appreciate that," Kashyap told IANS.
Interestingly, Anurag was had earlier mentioned that he was quite sceptical about doing the role of an antagonist in ‘Akira’. However, no he feels proud of his work.
This is not the first time that Kashyap has come in front of the camera. He has earlier previously acted in movies like "Black Friday", "No Smoking", "Dev.D", "Gulaal" and "Shagird". However, he doesn't want to make a career in acting.
"I don't want to make a career into acting. I will do acting only if there is a strong reason to do it. There should be the right intention and right money to do it," he said.
Directed by A.R. Murugadoss, the film also features Konkona Sen Sharma, Amit Sadh and Atul Kulkarni. It has hit the screens on Friday and has garnered decent response from everyone.
