Filmmaker Anurag Kashyap was earlier today trolled on social media for asking Prime Minister Narendra Modi to apologise for his trip to Pakistan in December last year. After being trolled, Anurag again took to micro-blogging website Twitter saying he has every right to question the PM.

Anurag had lent his support to Karan Johar’s upcoming directorial ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’ after the Cinema Owners and Exhibitors Association of India reached a decision on Friday to not screen any movies starring Pak actors. ADHM features Pakistani actor Fawad Khan in an extended cameo.

The ‘Bombay Velvet’ director had said that PM Modi should apologise for his trip to the neighbouring country to extend birthday wishes to his Pakistani counterpart Nawaz Sharif. Anurag said that KJo shot for ADHM when relations between the two countries were cordial.

This did not go down well with people on Twitter and Anurag Kashyap remained a trending topic on Twitter all day on Sunday.

Replying to trolls, Anurag said he had every right to question PM Modi. Here is the series of tweets he posted:

The Cinema Owners and Exhibitors Association of India on Friday said that movies featuring Pakistani actors would not be screened in single screen theatres in Maharashtra, Goa and Gujarat.

The decision came amid heightened India-Pakistan tensions in the wake of a terror attack on an Indian Army camp in Jammu and Kashmir and the Indian Army's surgical strikes on Pakistani territory.
