It was this month last year when veteran actress Sridevi left for the heavenly abode. The versatile actress breathed his last in a Dubai hotel. While her husband Boney Kapoor and daughters, Janhvi and Khushi are currently in Chennai for a special puja to remember the late actress, her brother-in-law and co-star in several films Anil Kapoor also went down the memory lane. While speaking to Mumbai Mirror, the Fanney Khan actor said, ''She was my brother's wife and my wife's friend as they connected really well. Whenever we met there was always fun, laughter and humour. People like Sri ji are difficult to forget. Her body of work is fabulous and inspiring. Her films are still being seen and pictures still being published everywhere. She will always be missed''.
According to Mumbai Mirror report, Thursday marked Sridevi's death anniversary as per tithi. The puja was also attended by actor Ajith Kumar, his wife Shalini, English Vinglish director Gauri Shinde and her filmmaker husband R Balki.
Sridevi passed away before her daughter's Bollywood debut for which she was quite excited. She was in Dubai for a family wedding when she passed away on February 24. Her last film was Mom in 2017 for which she also got a National Award posthumously.
On a related note, Janhvi Kapoor, who is Sridevi and Boney Kapoor's elder child made her Bollywood debut in 2018 with Dhadak, co-starring Ishaan Khatter. It was a Dharma Production project and was helmed by Shashank Khaitan.
