Megastar Amitabh Bachchan whose latest movie ‘Pink’ released today has said that men should be asked the same questions about their virginity as women are. Big B raised this topic at a promotional event for the movie.
Interestingly, the first scene of the trailer of ‘Pink’ showed Amitabh Bachchan posing this question to co-star Tapsee Pannu. This, however, was for the script and it is now known to all that Big B is on the side of the girls in this courtroom drama.
Agreeing with Big B’s statements that it is wrong to ask women about their virginity, producer of ‘Pink’ Shoojit Sircar said that asking this question is a strong statement.
When Shoojit was asked if he is targeting the urban society with the movie, he said he just uses his language in film-making. Shoojit said that since he has lived in areas like Delhi and Mumbai, he understands the urban language.
“Pink has its own language,” said Shoojit.
‘Pink’ starring Tapsee Pannu, , Kirti Kulhari, Angad Bedi and Andrea Tarian has opened to rave reviews. This movie is being said to be a take on the patriarchal society and speaks about gender issues impeccably. Amitabh Bachchan’s performance has been termed as one of his career bests by few critics.
