Amitabh Bachchan, who is busy in the shooting of Aamir Khan starrer Thugs of Hindostan in Malta congratulating shuttler Kidambi Srikanth and Indian womens cricket team over their respective wins at Australian Open Super Series and ICC Women's cricket World Cup, said that he is proud to be Indian.
While Srikanth defeated Chinese Cheng Long on Sunday to clinch the Australian Open Super Series men's single title, the Indian women's cricket team on Saturday defeated England on their home soil by 35 runs in the opening match of the ICC Women's cricket World Cup.
"Congratulations India. Proud to be an Indian," Amitabh wrote in a series of tweets.
"Congratulations Srikanth K You have beaten the best. Given India a pride of place. Proud of you," he added. Amitabh was lastly seen in Ram Gopal Varma's Sarkar 3 alongside Yami Gautam.
