New Delhi: Actor Aman Verma is a renowned name in the television industry. He became a household name after his stint in Bigg Boss 9.
Aman’s popularity is not just restricted to small screen, but he was also seen in several Bollywood movies – like ‘Sangharsh’, ‘Jaan-e-Mann’, ‘Baabul’ and several others.
However, his best performance is said to be in Amitabh Bachchan starrer ‘Baghbaan’.
But the actor, however, doesn’t coincide with this. On the contrary, he considers ‘Baghbaan’ as a big mistake.
“Baghban I feel was the biggest mistake that I made in my career. Initially the role was to be played by someone else and then I came into the picture. It was a role of a man who had a grown up daughter. Baghban happened in 2003 and that time I was 31. I was playing a dad to Rimi Sen. I could not refuse it as I was very close to Ravi Chopra. I did a a lot of projects with him. After being part of Baghban, people actually thought that I am a matured man and I started getting roles of only dads post that,” Aman told a leading daily.
He further added, “I would agree that back in time I was on the heavier side hence I used to look much older. Today, at the age of 44, I look younger and people usually say that it's a reverse cycle that is working on me. All said and done, it was a movie with Mr Bachchan and I couldn't say no. I did ask Ravi to offer me the younger brother's role but he knew I will do justice to the character of Ajay.”
Currently, Aman Verma is busy with his upcoming TV show 'Ek Maa Jo Laakhon Ke Liye Bani Amma'.
