2017 has been a great year for cinema lovers. Actors not only came up with some wonderful projects but also experimented with their roles. On one hand, Varun Dhawan and Ajay Devgn gave commercially successful films like Judwaa 2 and Golmaan Again, there were actors like Ayushmann Khurrana and Akshay Kumar, who delivered content driven films like Shubh Mangal Saavdhan and Toilet: Ek Prem Katha. All the actors were appreciated for their performances. Here’s the list of top 10 Bollywood actors, who ruled the Bollywood in 2017.
Akshay Kumar
The name is enough to attract movie buffs. This year, the actor delivered hit films like Jolly LLB 2 and Toilet: Ek Prem Katha. Both the films entered the coveted Rs 100 crore club. It won’t be wrong to say that whatever Akshay touches becomes gold. Jolly LLB 2 was the sequel to Jolly LLB whereas Toilet: Ek Prem Katha was based on Swachh Bharat Abhiyan.
Varun Dhawan
This year, Varun Dhawan’s two films Badrinath Ki Dulhania and Judwaa 2 were released and both the film did wonderful business at the box office. Just nine films old in the industry, none of Varun’s movies have ever suffered financial loss.
Irrfan Khan
There is nothing in the world that Irrfan Khan can’t do. Yes, this year, he came with a content driven film like Hindi Medium and beautifully depicted the mentality of the society towards those who can’t speak fluent English. In Qarib Qarib Singlle, Irrfan portrayed the image of the lover boy that people used to think never existed.
Rajkummar Rao
There are some actors who make you proud as a cinema lover. Rajkummar is one among them. He started the year with Trapped in which his performance was appreciated. He then played a cameo in Raabta. The actor stole the limelight from Ayushmann Khurrana in Bareilly Ki Barfi with the role of Pritam Vidrohi. His film Newton also became India’s official entry to Oscars 2018. He also acted in Shaadi Mein Zaroor Aana.
Ayushmann Khurrana
His film, Meri Pyaari Bindu doomed at the box office but this didn’t stop him form giving some wonderful movies like Bareilly Ki Barfi and Shubh Mangal Savdhan. Both the films received positive reviews and also performed well at the box office.
Shah Rukh Khan
The superstar started the year with Raees that entered the coveted Rs 100 crore club. He collaborated with Imtiaz Ali for Jab Harry Met Sejal. People had some high expectation from the film but it disappointed movie buffs.
Ajay Devgn
The actor appeared in films like Baadshaho and Golmaal Again. The latter was called as one of the best horror comedies and it also crossed Rs 300 crore mark.
Salman Khan
When Tubelight didn’t get good reviews from movie buffs expectations were high from Tiger Zinda Hai. The Ali Abbas Zafar’s directorial venture has crossed Rs 150 cr mark and Salman has given a perfect ending to this year.
Prabhas
This name doesn’t need any introduction. His film Baahubali 2 broke many box office records and set benchmarks for other films. Prabhas became everybody’s favourite and the movie crossed Rs 1500 cr mark, globally.
Hrithik Roshan
2017 has not been good to Hrithik Roshan as far as his personal life is concerned but professionally his film Kaabil that clashed with SRK’s Raees also entered the coveted Rs 100 cr club. The actor received praises for playing the role of a visually challenged man.
