In an interview with Mumbai Mirror, Akshay said, “I have completed 25 years in the film industry and I've never called in a favour to bag a movie or an award. As for Priyan favouring me, I think he has answered that question in your newspaper”.
Recently, Priyadarshan also spoke on the matter and said last year Ramesh Sippy was head of the jury and none questioned his good friend Amitabh Bachchan's best actor win, so why should he and Akshay be subjected to such allegations.
