The actor’s next titled ‘Rustom’ has heightened the anxiety of cine buffs since the first poster of it was rolled out. With the tagline, ‘3 Shots That Shook The Nation’; there is little to know about the movie.
The buzz of grapevine suggests that the movie is based on the infamous K.M. Nanavati case.
K.M. Nanavati was tried for murder of his wife’s lover Prem Ahuja. The case holds importance in Indian Judicial system because jury trials were abolished in India after this.
Ahead of the trailer release, Akshay took to Twitter to share a patriotic message. In the video, Akshay can be seen dressed in a navy officer’s uniform as he shares the principles of Commander Rustom Pavri. The video is all about Rustom’s ‘honour’ and ‘uniform’.

Apart from Akshay, the movie also features Ileana D'Cruz, Arjan Bajwa and Esha Gupta in pivotal roles. Directed by Tina Suresh Desai, the movie will release on August 12.
