New Delhi: It has been barely been a month since his last release, ‘Sarbjit’ and actor Randeep Hooda is already awaiting for 10th June, as that is when his next will hit theatres. Randeep’s next, ‘Do Lafzon Ki Kahani’ is a love story of a blind girl, played by Kajal Aggarwal and a MMA fighter.
The busy calendar of Randeep and the immense difference in genres of his latest movies, Sarbjit being a biopic and DLKH a romantic drama, prompted people to think that he is following superstar Akshay Kumar’s footsteps. Just like Akshay he is experimenting with his genres and keeping very busy.
However, when Randeep was pointed out about this similarity, he felt humbled. During a press interaction he said,
“Akshay Kumar gets four hundred times more money than me. There is no other difference.”
The silver screen Sarbjit did not stop there. He went on to sing praises for Akshay when he said,
“Akshay is one actor who is really evolved with every film. He is the most evolving actor that I have come across . From his action image he did comedy and now he is choosing films that have good content. I am glad you are comparing me with Akshay. He is an actor who is always looking for growth. I look up to him.”
Randeep’s ‘Do Lafzon Ki Kahani’, will clash with Richa Chaddha’s ‘Cabaret’ and Amitabh Bachchan’s ‘TE3N’ at the box office. But he is confident that this will not effect any of the movies.
“All the best to them. These are very different films. We will find our audience,” said Randeep.
