Bollywood star Akshay Kumar, who is famous for his versatile onscreen performances, never shies away from lending his support for a noble cause. On Tuesday evening, the Jolly LLB 2 actor posted a video on his social media account where he stated that he wants to launch a website or a mobile app to assist army servicemen financially.

"This website will host a list of the names of the martyrs, along with their bank account numbers. If you want to help that jawan financially, you can directly make a contribution into their accounts. That account number will be deleted once the total deposited money accounts to Rs 15 lakh. By this, family members of the slain soldiers can directly use that money." actor says in the video.

Akshay Kumar urged fans to provide their inputs and feedback on this idea. The actor claimed if he finds sufficient support from people, he will go ahead and start this website or app with a clearance from the armed forces and the government. Akshay further added that this gesture will be the biggest mark of respect for our soldiers on January 26, on the occasion of Republic Day.

In the recent past, Akki posted a video on his social media profiles in the wake of mass-molestation incidents in Bengaluru. The actor thanked his fans for the support that they showed towards his last update.
