Actor Akhay Kumar, today thanked National Award jury and all his fans after winning his first National Film Award. He shared a video on social media in which he said that Thankyou is a small word and dedicated his award to his parents and family.
The actor took to micro blogging site Twitter to share a video. He tweeted, “#NationalFilmAwards : Best Actor for Rustom,countless emotions,very hard to express my gratitude right now but still tried,a big THANK YOU.”
The actor was overwhelmed with the honour and thanked his fans. He stated that Rustom was a special film for him. Akshay added that this is the double celebration for him as Sonam Kapoor, who has also won a National Film Award is present with him as she is also shooting for Padman.

At the 64th National Film Awards, actress Ziara Wasim received the National Film Award for Best Supporting Actress for Dangal. Pink bagged the best film award on social issues.
