Tamil actor Ajith Kumar, who is gearing up for the release of his upcoming film Vivegam, has released an official statement saying that he doesn’t have official accounts on social media platforms like Facebook, Twitter or Instagram and he doesn’t endorse any fan clubs. The copies of the statement in English and Tamil have been shared been issued by Ajith’s counsels and are also shared on social media.
The statement reads, “Our client does not have any official page or account on any social media platforms, especially on Facebook, Twitter, Snapchat and Instagram. However, there are a few unauthorized self-proclaimed individuals, groups and associations, passing off their personal views and opinions on social and political issues under the guise and likeness of our client, through the unauthorised use of our client's name and image.”
This is known to all that fan clubs often create profile with actor’s names and posts their opinions. The statement confirmed that the actor doesn’t endorse such fan clubs and also apologise from the his side to unknowingly hurt the sentiments of people.
In 2015, a singer Chinmayi Sripada posted a meme featuring Thala, the name fans have given him. After the incidents, the actor’s fans mercilessly trolled the singer.
