After six years of Bhaag Milkha Bhaag, Bollywood actor Farhan Akhtar is reuniting with Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra for another project. Farhan is collaborating with the Bhaag Milkha Bhaag filmmaker for the project titled Toofan.
Farhan took to Instagram to announce the news and wrote, ‘’Thrilled to share that 6 years after Bhaag Milkha Bhaag, @rakeyshommehra and I are reuniting to create #Toofan .. a heartfelt story of a boxer. Hope for your best wishes as we embark on this new journey. Love.’’
In Bhaag Milkha Bhaag, Farhan played the role of an Olympian sprinter Milkha Singh. And now he is teaming up with Omprakash Mehra for another sports drama which is based on boxing. The film is produced by Farhan and Ritesh Sidhwani.
“It’s not a biopic. It is a fictional story scripted by Anjum Rajabali. Farhan fell in love with it as soon as he heard it. Rakeysh has already started with the prep and Farhan will be training extensively in boxing. He is looking forward to working with Rakeysh again. The film should roll this year,” stated a source close to the development.
