Pad Man is all set to hit the screens on February 9.

Actor Akshay Kumar is gearing up for the release of his upcoming film Pad Man. The movie deals with the subject of menstrual hygiene and thus celebrities these days are taking and giving #PadManChallenge in which they can be seen posing with sanitary napkins. After Akshay Kumar, Aamir Khan and Alia Bhatt, it was Deepika Padukone’s turn to take the challenge. The lady, who is basking in the glory of Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Padmaavat, posed with a sanitary napkin.

Deepika took to social networking site Instagram and shared the image. She captioned it as, “Thank you for tagging me @akshaykumar !Yes, that’s a Pad in my hand & there's nothing to be ashamed about...It's natural! Period. #PadManChallenge.”

Earlier, Alia, Sonam and many other celebs accepted the challenge and posted pics on social media.

Deepika’s latest release Padmaavat has crossed Rs 100 cr mark at the box office. Along with the actress, the movie also featured actors Shahid Kapoor and Ranveer Singh.

On a related note, Pad Man is based on the life of Arunachalam Muruganantham, the man who developed low cost sanitary napkins. Along with Akshay, the film also features Sonam Kapoor and Radhika Apte. The film is all set to hit the screens on February 9 and will fight the box office battle with Sidharth Malhotra starrer Aiyaary.
