Tamilrockers have become a real trouble for the filmmakers in India. While the producers are working day and night to avert the online leaks of their films, Tamilrockers is no mood to stop. Lately, Ranveer Singh and Sara Ali Khan’s latest release Simmba have become the victim of online piracy by Tamilrockers. Interestingly, they are not the first ones to be leaked online. Previously, big budget films like 2.0, Kaala and Thugs of Hindostan were also leaked online within hours after their release.
Shah Rukh Khan’s Zero and Yash’s superhit KGF was also leaked online just hours after their release. The makers of Tamil films have been putting a fight against Tamilrockers but nothing much of use has come out of it. Hindi, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada and even Hollywood films are leaked online by the notorious piracy website.
When tried to shut down their website, it seems like the hacking community behind it are using many proxy websites, which makes it even harder to tackle. It’s nearly impossible for the law to block every proxy website Tamilrockers have been using.
In such scenario, filmmakers can only trust their loyal fanbase to watch the film only by buying the tickets to the theatres. In fact, soon after the leaks many Twitter users have urged the moviegoers to watch the film only in theatres and discourage such notorious gangs.
