New Delhi: Whenever director Aditya Chopra and superstar Shah Rukh Khan have teamed up for celluloid, magic has happened. Since Adi directed SRK in Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jaayenge to the last film they did, Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi; the duo shout success.
Reports have it that Aditya and SRK are reuniting once again.
But, contrary to all their outings in the past, SRK will not be the romantic hero he is. For dear friend Adi’s next, SRK will play a warrior, if media reports are to be believed.
A report in Filmfare magazine, suggested that it will be a high budget period drama for which SRK will play a warrior. This will be the second time, cine buffs will see Khan in the role of a warrior. The last time was when he donned the role of Asoka, his home production movie, which was a dud at the box office.
The report also added that since this genre is untouched by Aditya, he will invest a lot of time in pre-production and research.
During the promotions of his last movie ‘Fan’, SRK had dropped hints about this movie.
He had said,
"Aditya Chopra has a plan to do a film with me. I think I will start shooting from Aditya's next film by end of 2017. All he has told me is the fact that is a very big project and I might have to sit for two months with Adi to prepare for the character. He told me that the shooting will be wrapped up in three months, but I will have to work with him on characters for two months prior to shooting for the film”
Before he starts filming for this movie, SRK will have to wrap up Imtiaz Ali and Anand L Rai’s unnamed projects.
