It is clear now, superstar Aamir Khan’s ‘Dangal’ is the undisputed winner of box office in 2016. It has finally made its entry to the 300 crore club and became the first ever Bollywood film to earn this much amount in just 13 days of release.

The film has clearly broken the record of superstar Salman Khan’s ‘Sultan’ that minted Rs. 300 crore in 5 weeks. In fact, the star has left behind his own film ‘PK’ that crossed the mark in 17 days. Aamir is clearly setting the new benchmark for other movies.

Trade analyst Taran Adarsh took to Twitter to share the news. He tweeted, “#PK crossed ₹ 300 cr on Day 17... #Dangal crosses ₹ 300 cr on Day 13... Indeed, Aamir is setting NEW BENCHMARKS... India biz.”

‘Dangal’ has become fourth film to enter the 300 cr club after ‘Sultan’, ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’ and ‘PK’.

Apart from surpassing the first day collection of ‘Sultan’, Aamir’s film has done every possible wonders at the box office. The film fetched Rs 100 crore in just three days of its release, and also shined at the international box office. Though, ‘Sultan’ and ‘Dangal’ were being compared because of the common subject wresting, but it was soon cleared that both the movies were different.

Celebrities from all walks of life along with critics have applauded ‘Dangal’. Directed by Nitesh tiwari, the film was based on the real life story of Mahavir Singh Phogat. It also featured Fatima Sana Shaikh and Sanya Malhotra in prominent roles.
