Exclusive: No alliance can defeat BJP in UP polls next year, says Yogi Adityanath at #ChunavManch
Speaking at India TV's day-long conclave Chunav Manch on Saturday Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said the win in the Panchayat elections is the result of the public welfare policies of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Exuberating confidence that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is going to win the Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections next year, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath challenged that no alliance can derail his party’s winning streak.
Speaking at India TV's day-long conclave Chunav Manch on Saturday Yogi Adityanath said any ‘alliances’ will have to meet the same fate as in the year 2017 and 2019. “Any political party has the right to chose its allies to fight an election, but they should know that they will have to bite the dust just like in 2017 and 2019. There isn't an iota of doubt that BJP will win the Uttar Pradesh election.”
On Covid fight
Giving all the credits to the policies of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Yogi said that it was only because of those schemes and planning that the nation, Uttar Pradesh in particular, was able to fight the Covid battle. “It is only because of Prime Minister’s farsightedness that we have almost won the battle against coronavirus..”
Covid preparedness
The CM said that the state is fully prepared for third wave. “Our preparedness for second wave of cononavirus was such that there was no lockdown in the state, only corona curfew was imposed. UP was fully prepared for second wave coronavirus. We already had teams in place to work.” Training guns at the AAP government on the matter of Oxygen requirement, Yogi said, “When it came to oxygen demand in Delhi, everyone knows the truth. In place of actual demand which was 300 MT, the Delhi government sought 1,100 MT.”
“Our friends in Opposition are still in home quarantine, unable to digest the truth that people’s support is with BJP, he added.” Taking on the claims that elections caused Covid-19 second wave, Yogi said, “If political rallies caused Covid, then why were more cases reported from Delhi and Maharashtra? There were no elections there. My request to the Opposition is that they should stop creating panic.”
When the CM contracted the disease
Giving a display of his dedication, the CM said that even when he was Covid positive, he held virtual meetings. “I used to hold two virtual meetings in the day. And as soon as I tested negative, I started to tour in the state to take the stock of the preparedness.”
Dead bodies floating in the Ganges
Lamenting Congress leader Rahul Gandhi’s remarks on the issue of dead bodies floating on River Ganges, Yogi said, “(Rahul Gandhi) Saying that deaths due to Covid are being under-reported was an irresponsible thing to do. One can't hide the details of death caused by Covid. Playing politics on the issue of dead bodies floating in the rivers was a bad message to send. During such difficult times it would only causes panic.
