Former BJP chief minister in Madhya Pradesh Babulal Gaur courted a controversy after a video of him went viral on Thursday, where he was seen congratulating a Congress candidate over "election win" in the state.
In a video that surfaced on Thursday, 88-year-old Babulal Gaur was seen murmuring to Congress heavyweight Arif Aqueel that his party would form government in the state. He then congratulated Aqueel for becoming a minister soon.
"Suno, sarkaar ban rahi hai, mantri ban rahe ho, Badhai ho', Babu Lal Gaur told Congress candidate Arif Aqueel in the video.
Later in the video, Gaur offered Aqueel to have tea, however, the Congress leader declined saying that he was only there to seek his blessings.
