Suspended BJP MP Kirti Azad on Monday praised Congress president Rahul Gandhi and said he had given good speech in the Parliament during the no-confidence motion.
“Rahul Gandhi had given good speech in Parliament on no-confidence motion & has been raising important questions recently. I don't think appreciating anyone for good work is violating party lines. I am on good terms with people from opposition parties,” ANI quoted him as saying.
Azad, the former test cricketer, was suspended from BJP after he levelled allegations against Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley in connection with alleged irregularities in the Delhi Cricket Association. He is currently serving his third term in the Lok Sabha from Darbhanga constituency.
Earlier also Azad praised Gandhi and had said he has been very effectively raising a number of issues concerning the common people and under his leadership the Congress appears to be regaining lost ground.
