Taking a jibe at Rahul Gandhi, BJP national general secretary Ram Madhav said that the Congress President sparked more memes than any news, while stating that there was no alternative to Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Ram Madhav was speaking at India TV's day-long conclave in New Delhi on Thursday.
"Three people will win BJP next election -Narendra Modi, Amit Shah and Rahul Gandhi. We want a good opposition but whenever Rahul Gandhi speaks up, he sparks more memes than news," the BJP leader said.
He said Modi is the only eligible person to be India's next Prime Minister. "Modi's alternative is corruption, dynasty, inefficient governance. That is why PM Modi is only and obvious choice," Madhav added.
He exuded confidence of NDA-led government retaining power in 2019.
On Jammu and Kashmir's assembly elections, the senior BJP leader expressed hope that the polls would be held this year itself. He also said his party would not form any pre-poll alliance in Jammu and Kashmir, and will also contest on all Lok Sabha seats in general elections.
