A group of mediapersons had to bear the brunt of the chaos that broke out during Congress president Rahul Gandhi's roadshow in Kerala's Wayanad. They were, however, helped by Rahul and Priyanka Gadhi to the ambulance.
The mediapersons sustained minor injuries after a part of their vehicle at the roadshow snapped.
The Congress president later wished the mediapersons a speedy recovery and tweeted: "I also want to wish the journalists injured in a mishap during our road show a speedy recovery."
Rahul Gandhi, earlier in the day, filed his nomination from Wayanad with his sister, Priyanka, for the upcoming Lok Sabha polls. He is contesting from the southern district in addition to his party bastion, Amethi.
The nomination was followed by a roadshow which saw a massive crowd greeting the Congress leaders with party flags and slogans.
Addressing the media later, Gandhi said he had come to Kerala as he wanted to send across the message that 'India is one'.
"I thought I should give a message that I will fight from both North and South India. And that India is one," he said.
