Lok Sabha elections 2019 | Suspense continues over AAP-Congress alliance, decision likely by afternoon

The 2019 general election is scheduled to be held in seven phases from 11 April to 19 May 2019 to constitute the 17th Lok Sabha. The counting of votes will be conducted on 23 May. On the same day the results will be declared.

Congress president Rahul Gandhi held a meeting with leaders of Delhi Congress on Monday. Reportedly, the meeting was called to take a decision on an alliance with the Aam Admi Party (AAP) in Delhi before the Lok Sabha elections 2019.

Congress president is likely to take the final decision by afternoon.

Legislative Assembly elections in the states of Andhra Pradesh, Arunachal Pradesh, Odisha and Sikkim will be held simultaneously with the general polls.
