Congress spokesperson Priyanka Chaturvedi has removed all references to the grand old party from her Twitter bio, raising speculation of her resignation from the party.
According to sources, she sent her resignation letter to Congress president Rahul Gandhi late last night.
Chaturvedi recently hit headlines after making a parody on Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Smriti Irani's changing education status.
Priyanka Chaturvedi was reportedly miffed at the reinstatement of some party workers in Uttar Pradesh who had threatened and misbehaved with her during her press conference in Mathura a few days ago.
The party which had suspended those workers reinstated them on April 15.

"Deeply saddened that lumpen goons get preference in @incindia over those who have given their sweat&blood. Having faced brickbats&abuse across board for the party but yet those who threatened me within the party getting away with not even a rap on their knuckles is unfortunate", Priyanka had tweeted, on April 18.
The Congress has neither confirmed nor denied Priyanka Chaturvedi's resignation. It is speculated she would soon join the Shiv Sena.
