Congress president Rahul Gandhi on Friday lashed out at Prime Minister Narendra Modi for refusing to give a ticket to the BJP senior party leader Lal Krishna Advani.
Taking a dig on the PM at his rally in Nagpur, Rahul said, "Modi shouldn't teach Hindu Dharma to us."
Not only that. The Gandhi scion also charged PM Modi of violating Hindu Dharma by disrespecting his political guru Advani, saying India has a great tradition of according highest respect to gurus. "Today Modi has thrown him out. Is this Hindu Dharma?" he asked the crowd.
LK Advani, earlier in his wrote, "The guiding principle of my life has been 'Nation First, Party Next, Self Last.'And in all situations, I have tried to adhere to this principle and will continue to do so." His quote became a topic of discussion ahead 2019 general election.
Apart from criticizing the prime minister and his governance of past five years, Rafael deal had also been a part of Rahul's speech as he questioned the NDA government's decision of giving the deal to Anil Ambani.
In his 40-minute speech, he also charged PM Modi of spreading hatred across the country.
While talking about his party's manifesto, the Congress president rephrased the 1970s slogan, which was given by his grandmother Indira Gandhi, "Garibi Hatao" and called NYAY scheme as a surgical strike on garibi.
He talked at length about the manifesto claiming that he will fulfill the promises which were unkept by the Modi government.
