Priyanka Chaturvedi unhappy as Congress reinstates leaders who misbehaved with her
Priyanka Chaturvedi had alleged that some Congress leaders misbehaved with her in Mathura a few days ago. The leaders were expelled but have now been re-inducted by the Congress.
Congress Spokesperson Priyanka Chaturvedi made her unhappiness public as she tweeted against re-induction of some Congress leaders, whom she accused of misbehaving with her. The incident had taken place a few days ago in Mathura.
"Deeply saddened that lumpen goons get preference in @incindia over those who have given their sweat & blood. Having faced brickbats & abuse across board for the party but yet those who threatened me within the party getting away with not even a rap on their knuckles is unfortunate," said Chaturvedi in her tweet.
Chaturvedi has retweeted a journalist's tweet. The journalist has included an image of a letter written by Uttar Pradesh Congress Committee, as the letterhead suggests.
While warning the leaders against such behaviour in future, the letter says that the disciplinary action against them has been suspended as the leaders have expressed 'regret' over the incident.
The letter also mentions that Uttar Pradesh Congress Committee considered the intervention of Jyotiraditya Scindia in this matter. Scindia is Congress general secretary for Uttar Pradesh (West).
