Hello and welcome to our daily election live blog. BJP's Hema Malini is filing her nomination papers from Mathura today. Hema Malini and UP CM Yogi Adityanath performed puja at Mathura's Banke Bihari Temple ahead of filing nomination papers. In Bihar's Jamui, LJP leader Chirag Paswan is filing his nomination papers. In Delhi, Congress President Rahul Gandhi will decide on the alliance with Arvind Kejriwal's Aam Aadmi Party. In  Maharashtra, NCP leader Sharad Pawar has taken a pot shot at PM Modi. In Tamil Nadu, there are reports of discontent in the Congress camp after the party on Sunday released its ninth list of candidates which mentioned Karti Chidambaram from Sivaganga constituency.     Congress and AAP has finally agreed on an alliance formula, says a media report. The two parties have reportedly agreed on a 4-3 seat sharing formula in Delhi. India TV Digital has not been able to confirm the news independently but will keep you updated on the situation.

    The Delhi Chief Electoral Office on Monday said it was awaiting a reply from the makers of a biopic on Prime Minister Narendra Modi, scheduled to be released on April 5, after it felt that the film violated the model code of conduct.

    Another political film, The Tashkent Files, set to release

    As "The Tashkent Files", a film which revolves around the mysterious death of Prime Minister Lal Bahadur Shastri, is all set to be released in the midst of the Lok Sabha polls, director Vivek Agnihotri says it is the right time to bring it to the public.

    The film is an addition to the long list of political movies set to be released ahead on the Lok Sabha polls this year after "Uri: The Surgical Strike", "The Accidental Prime Minister" and "Thackeray". It will be followed up with "PM Narendra Modi".

    Senior BJP leader Arun Jaitley attacked at Rahul Gandhi's ambitious minimum income scheme by saying that Congress has been using poverty alleviation as a poll plank but has failed to deliver on its promises time after time. "Indira ji won an election in 1971 on 'gareebi hatao' but she didn't take the necessary steps to remove poverty. She did not believe in increased productivity, she did not believe in the generation of wealth, she only believed in redistribution of poverty," Finance Minister Arun Jaitley said.

    Congress files complaint against film on Narendra Modi

    A Congress delegation today filed complaint against the film PM Narendra Modi with the Election Commission. "We represented to the EC that there is a film being made on Narendra Modi, to be launched just a few days before election, it's purpose is political. 3 producers & actor belong to BJP, director is involved in Vibrant Gujarat. This is violative of all norms," Congress leader Kapil Sibal told media after the meeting.

    BJP delegation meets Election commission to demand action against TDP

    A BJP delegation led by GVL Narsimha Rao today met the Election Commission to file a complaint against the Telugu Desam Party. The BJP has alleged that TDP is influencing the elections using the money power. Have requested the Election Commission to appoint a special observer in Andhra Pradesh, Rao told India TV. The party also complained against the TMC party for 'using unfair means to cancel BJP's program in West Bengal'.

    JD(S) patriarch HD Deve Gowda said that he will campaign wherever he will be asked to. "I will campaign everywhere in the state. I will also go to Andhra, Chandrababu Naidu also invited me.     The Congress has announced that Sachin Choudhary will be the party's candidate from Uttar Pradesh's Amroha parliamentary constituency in place of Rashid Alvi.
